Having personally suffered from adult acne, I know that most of the treatments on the market today are useless at getting rid of adult acne, and most of them can actually aggrevate Acne Prone Skin. Thankfully, there are natural solutions for adult acne that you can use, and they wont cost you an arm and a leg!

Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables

In order to get Rid Of Acne effectively, you need to make sure that your skin isn’t producing too much sebum (natural oil). Vegetables such as tomato and cucumber are effective at cleaning the skin of any excess oil (remember, you don’t want to clean your skin of too much natural oils, otherwise it will become irritant around sensitive areas).

Fruits and vegetables naturally contain a high amount of water, which in itself is brilliant for flushing out toxic chemicals in your body. Water won’t necessarily get rid of acne, however if you don’t consume enough, then the toxins will seep out through the pores of your skin, resulting in acne.

Dont pick or squeeze!

Although it may be tempting to pick or squeeze spots, it really should be avoided. Picking the spots will actually rupture the skins membranes, which will increase the production of sebum (natural skin oils) and lead to infection, resulting in acne.

Furthermore, picking the spots can also lead to scarring. Since acne is formed in the pores of the skin, then breaking the skin will damage the skins pores. If they don’t heal properly, then they can leave scars.

Try to use only natural products

There are many products on the market today which contain chemicals that actually aggrevate acne-prone skin, even some which are designed to tackle adult acne! Using these products could strip the skin of its natural oils, and although these oils are partly responsible for acne, this isn’t beneficial as the body will produce more of these natural oils to compensate.

If you are going to wear make-up, try to look for products which are non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic, as these wont block the pores or remove the skins natural oils.
